Eurostar is the fast rail service, which directly links the United Kingdom to France and Belgium via the Channel Tunnel. It runs up to 18 services to Paris and nine services to Brussels daily. 9 trains stop at Lillie in Northern France and up to 3 services stop at Calais Frethun en route.
To travel on Eurostar you may carry up to 2 suitcases and one item of hand luggage. You need to clearly label with your name, seat number, date of travel and your destination. If you have additional luggage you will get charged so make sure that your luggage does not exceed the limit. If you are travelling with a bicycle then it must be folded and carried in a bag otherwise you will have to register it, and then it will be available at the destination 24 hours after it has been checked in.
Eurostar are very strict in passengers travelling on time, hence the minimum check in time is 30 minutes before departure. If you are collecting your ticket on departure, then you should make sure that you arrive at the station at least one hour prior to travelling!
If you feeling a little peckish then there are 2 non smoking buffet cars which serve a huge selection of hot and cold snacks and a variety of beverages. However, cheques and credit cards are not accepted you can only pay in pounds sterling or euros.
If you fancy travelling abit further than London, how about travelling to Disneyland Paris? There are direct services from London and Ashford International to the gates of Disneyland Paris. Tuesday and Saturday are the only two days that they don’t offer direct services.

You can buy your tickets at any train station. You can also buy train tickets online. Tickets can be printed off at home from the E-ticket you will get in you email inbox. You also can have your tickets posted to your home address, or you can collect them before departure from the railway station.

This is provided by the Association of Train Operating Companies, which is (ATOC) on behalf of all train operations. It also shows the train times and fares for all routes and all operations.

If you want to check if your train is on time you can go to www.nationalrail.co.uk/ldb and enter the name of your station to see a live departure board showing train arrivals and departures in the next hour or so, and whether they are on time or delayed.

You need to remember if you want to book tickets you can only buy tickets around 12 weeks before departure. It is not possible to buy tickets before then. However, you can sign up for a free email which is called ‘Ticket alert’ so when the bookings open for the route you need, you will have immediate access to whets on offer.
