Travelling with Virgin trains is by far faster by car and easier than plane. Wherever you want to go you can be guaranteed to get there on time and in comfort, which will leave you feeling refreshed on arrival at your destination. You can relax and watch the world go by while you enjoy the beautiful scenery.

On all trains you will find Wi-Fi Internet. It is super fast and will connect you anywhere. It is free in First class and also in Standard class is free. If you have a wi-fi enabled laptop you do not need any extra software, simply connect in a flash.

On some trains, there’s a trolley service bringing food and drinks to your set, so you don’t have to get out of your own seat. Listen out for the announcement and you can enjoy mouth-watering snacks at your leisure. They accept cash, vouchers and cheques in the onboard shop, but not debit or credit cards. You can buy pre –pay shop vouchers from the station before boarding the train. They are priced from £1 to £5 and can be used at any shop onboard any virgin train.

If you have the luxury of travelling first class then you will enjoy the complimentary menu. You will be served with mouth-watering choices from the First Class menu. Whatever you choose it will be brought to your table and alcohol is also served throughout the day after 10.00am.

  • Great sausage, crispy bacon, fried tomato and shredded potato with eggs.
  • There is a vegetarian breakfast, which includes quorn sausages, shredded potato pancake, roasted tomato, and spicy spinach with chopped onion.
  • You have a choice of smoked salmon and scrumptious scrambled eggs.
  • You can choose croissant or white or brown toast with selection of butter or jam.
  • Choice of tea or coffee.
  • Tantalising chilled orange juice or grapefruit juice.

Light Breakfast:

This is from 10.00am until 10.59am Monday to Friday.

  • You have a choice of bacon, sausage or vegetarian sausage roll.
  • Fresh fruit and biscuits.
  • Tea or coffee.
  • Orange or grapefruit juice.
