You can book on line at www.trainline.com tickets are ready 2 hours once you have booked online and can be collected any time before travel. There are self- service ticket machines located at most main stations. For collection you need your credit/debit card that you used to make the booking. You also need the ticket/ collection reference number when the booking was made.
How to use the self-service ticket machine:
- Insert the credit or debit card that you used for the booking.
- Put in the reference number and your details will come up on the screen.
- Your tickets will be printed, do not remove the tickets until all tickets have been issued and it says the transaction is complete.
The reference number is 8 digits long and contains a mixture of letters and numbers. Any booking that is made will have 9-digit number. To pick up your tickets you only need the reference number. You also do not have to go to the station selected whilst making the booking. You can collect your ticket from any station, which has a self-service machine.
You can print your own ticket at home or work. You need to be the main passenger on the ticket; you also need to carry the payment card you used to buy the ticket. Once you have printed your tickets they cannot be refunded or changed after booking. In addition you also need to travel on the train, which is specified and sit in the seat numbers on the ticket. Tickets are emailed to you after two hours of booking online. You will receive two emails the first email is your confirmation email and this is not the one for travel. The second email will be the ticket for printing.
